October 10 @ 11:30 am - 4:00 pm
Join us for a cultural trip to beautiful Northern Zealand approx. 40 minutes outside Copenhagen. Here we will visit the important historical stronghold, Kronborg Castle.
Kronborg Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of the most important Danish strongholds. It played a significant part in the Danish economy under King Christian the 4th (that guy who built half of Copenhagen), it has been immortalized as the setting for Shakespeare’s play ‘Hamlet’, and it is home to the famous legendary character, “Holger the Dane”, who according to myth wakes from his slumber to defend Denmark in times of trouble.
We will be going on a guided tour around the castle called Nooks and Crannies. This tour will give you access to some of the places that are off limits to other visitors. Please note, the tour contains small rooms, darkness and lots of stairs.
There is a participation fee of 45 DKK for the guided tour.
Payment can be made in the QA Lounge (22.0.54) in week 40 from 10 AM to 3 PM (cash only!)
